- Built an AI conversational tutor that gave learners real-time feedback on their Korean, taking it from concept to production.
- Maintained the Korean course-related applications, including the lesson management used by teachers and the user-facing system.
- Owned all applications end-to-end, including frontend, backend, database modeling, and infrastructure architecture.
- Rebuilt the infrastructure from a single server into a resilient, autoscaling AWS architecture, removing single points of failure.
- Replaced manual server deploys with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodeDeploy, providing better service availability and developer experience.
- Implemented observability across all systems, including logging, alerting, monitoring, and analytics.
- Hired and led an engineering team of three, establishing onboarding, sprint planning, code review, and performance tracking.
